Description
Maxflow-D 0.5mg/0.4mg
is a prescription combination medication primarily used to treat symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate.
Composition
Each capsule contains two active ingredients:
- Dutasteride (0.5 mg): A 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that shrinks the prostate gland by blocking the hormones responsible for its growth.
- Tamsulosin HCl (0.4 mg): An alpha-blocker that relaxes the smooth muscles in the bladder neck and prostate, making it easier to urinate.

- Relieving urinary symptoms such as weak stream, hesitancy, and frequent or urgent urination.
- Reducing the risk of acute urinary retention (sudden inability to urinate).
