Diane-35 is a combined therapeutic treatment indicated for the management of androgen-dependent conditions in women. It acts as both an oral contraceptive and an anti-androgen therapy, primarily prescribed when topical treatments or systemic antibiotics have proven ineffective.

Primary Indications:

• Severe Acne: Treatment of androgen-sensitive acne, often accompanied by seborrhea or inflammation.

• Hirsutism: Management of excessive facial or body hair growth in women of reproductive age.

• Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS): Management of hormonal symptoms associated with androgen excess.

Clinical Action:

The preparation contains Cyproterone Acetate (a progestogen with anti-androgenic properties) and Ethinylestradiol (an estrogen). Together, they inhibit ovulation and reduce the production of sebum and male hormones.
