This device is primarily used by parents and caregivers to clear mucus from an infant’s nose or mouth to help them breathe, suck, and eat more easily.
How to Use a Bulb Sucker
Using a bulb sucker is a simple process:
Squeeze the bulb: Compress the soft rubber bulb to expel the air inside completely.
Gently insert the tip: Carefully place the narrow tip just inside the baby’s nostril opening (or cheek pocket if clearing the mouth). Avoid inserting it too far to prevent injury.
Release slowly: Slowly release your grip on the bulb to create suction, which draws the mucus out of the nose.
Remove and clear: Remove the tip from the nostril and squeeze the bulb again onto a tissue to expel the collected mucus.
Repeat as needed: Repeat the process for the other nostril.
