Famila (Levonorgestrel / Ethinylestradiol)

Famila is a combined oral contraceptive (COC) pill used for long-term pregnancy prevention and birth spacing. It is formulated as a 28-day regimen, typically consisting of 21 active hormonal tablets and 7 inactive spacer tablets (often containing ferrous fumarate) to maintain a consistent daily habit and support iron levels.

• Active Ingredients: Levonorgestrel (0.15 mg) and Ethinylestradiol (0.03 mg).

   

• Pharmacologic Class: Combined Oral Contraceptive (Estrogen + Progestin).

• Primary Indications: * Prevention of pregnancy (99% effective with perfect use).

  • Regulation of the menstrual cycle and reduction of dysmenorrhea (painful periods).
