Description

Lonacort Injection is

a corticosteroid medication containing Triamcinolone Acetonide as its active ingredient. It is used to treat a wide range of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, but must be administered by a healthcare professional.

Uses of Lonacort Injection
Lonacort Injection works by reducing inflammation and suppressing the immune system’s activity. It is used for the treatment of various medical conditions, including:
  • Rheumatic disorders: Conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, bursitis, and gouty arthritis. It helps relieve pain, swelling, and stiffness in the joints.
  • Allergic disorders: Management of severe allergic conditions like allergic rhinitis, which causes symptoms like a stuffy nose, sneezing, red, itchy, and watery eyes.
  • Dermatological diseases: Treatment of various skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, lichen planus, keloids, and lichen simplex chronicus.
  • Respiratory diseases: Used to help manage lung and breathing problems like asthma.
  • Other conditions: It is also used for endocrine disorders, certain eye diseases (ophthalmic diseases), gastrointestinal diseases (like ulcerative colitis), blood and bone marrow problems (hematological diseases), and certain cancers (to ease symptoms).
Potential Side Effects
Common side effects of Lonacort Injection may include:
  • Injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness)
